How to get help with a personal case

PCS policy is that support is a two way process.  You support the union and the union supports you.

As volunteers we are not compelled to represent members who chose to ignore democratic decisions of the union such as taking strike action and action short of a strike including not working overtime during periods when PCS call an overtime ban.

Legally you are entitled to representation by your trade union and because of this we are forced to allocate someone.

We would expect that any help provided by the union will be reciprocated.

The procedure can be done from work or from a home computer and is as follows:

Download a PCU1 form here and save a copy.

Complete the form except section 3 Details of Rep.

Make sure that you include relevant dates such as dates letters were given to you and dates of any future meetings.

Please e-mail the form to the branch using the e-mail address

LEICESTERSHIRE.PCSMAILBOX1@DWP.GSI.GOV.UK

The subject line should read “PCS PERSONAL CASE”.

DO NOT E-MAIL TO PCS LEGAL AS IT WILL DELAY YOUR CASE.

A local rep will get back to you with advice by e-mail or a phone call or arrangements for a meeting.
